Success!

I’ve been busy so I haven’t posted in while. However, I wanted to take time to share a success story with everybody! Rocky is a young dog who has struggled with excessive barking while his owner interacts with other people, takes phone calls, or when she leaves the room. I recently introduced clicker training to Rocky and his owner… they both got the hang of it quickly and they are enjoying their new-found ability to communicate. I am proud to announce that, after only a day or two of training, Rocky's owner has been able to have conversations, phone calls, and leave the room, all without Rocky barking! Not Barking in these situations means that Rocky is learning to wait politely while observing as his owner interacts with other people. Rocky’s success in situations when his owner leaves the room without him shows that he is learning to be relaxed even when he cannot interact with her. Congratulations to Rocky and his owner on their success and a job well done by both of them!
